Synopsis:

Sergio is a well-know and self-confident surgeon. He decides to visit his girlfriend Anna, a missionary in Burundi. When he gets there, he is shocked by the tragic reality of famine, disease and tribal conflict. Much to his horror, Anna is hit by a bullet and dies before his eyes in one of the many ethnic battles and Sergio makes preparations to leave this world he had never before imagined existed. However, the discovery that the Government is secretly planning to destroy the mission for which Anna had worked makes him change his mind. He stays and becomes the people’s only hope of survival.
