Synopsis:

Nino runs a kiosk-bar in Palermo. One day, warned by his elderly partner, he realizes that he is being dogged by Platamone, a probable paid assassin. Nino then learns that he is on the hit list of a mafia boss and sees that the chain of killing is unstoppable. He tries in vain to exculpate himself but ends up having to sell the bar. In his desperation, he kills the mafia boss and involuntarily the hired assassin after failing to persuade the latter to free himself from the mafia’s grip.
