Synopsis:

The shadow of the newly-formed fascist party and the threat of an imminent second world war are impending, destined to change all. An imposing family saga, a passionate love story, the heroic lives of men and women during the years of the reclamation of the countryside near Rome, between 1932 and 1943, desired by Benito Mussolini, which will serve to turn the enormous areas of marshland into rich farmland.
For the Corradi family from Ferrara this experience will be lived as a sort of frontier land, wild, to be tamed, possessed and defended, representing the possibility of building a new life. Giulia Corradi, the second-born charismatic idealist of a typical Italian family of this period, made of idealists and great workers, harbours the hope of becoming a teacher and will experience a tumultuous love affair, divided between desire for Andrea Petrucci, a farmer who dreams of going to America and becoming a boxer, and attraction for Giacomo De Santis, son of the local Notary Public, the leader of a conspiracy of landowners who aim to oust the settlers from the land they work and fight for…
