In the first episode Amalia, wanting to satisfy her husband who believes he's Socrates, orchestrates a set up in which she becomes Santippe.

In the second episode, the 65-years-old Carlotta runs off to Capri with her boyfriend. Carlotta's son finds out about his mother's escape and tries to stop her, but she concocts another scheme and manages to find enough money for another vacation, this time to Paris.

In the third episode, a professor convinces an unemployed man that it's impossible to determine exactly when December 31 falls. So the man decides to celebrate New Year's Eve when he has enough money to buy the usual year end fireworks...
