Synopsis:

Crepax's comic-strip character comes to life before our eyes. Valentina is an unconventional heroine of sensuality, courage and intelligence. Her work as a photographer takes her on unusual assignements. Her passion for life leads her beyond the places where nice girls should go. She is curious like a cat, and is spurred on by a daredevil spirit which plunges her into danger and herotic adventures. But are they real? Valentina's search for excitment and novelty takes her into a world of fantasy. Our heroine slips into dreams and half-truths so that reality becomes blurred. But there are also situations where Valentina acts as a more classical heroine with just a hint of irony. She saves a young girl who is kidnapped, chases after a rare stolen 'cello, and becomes involved with gangsters and black magic. Valentina is a risk-taker... if you watch her, beware!
