Synopsis:

Alvise, son of a provincial industrialist, expresses his protest against society by pretending to be paralyzed from the waist down. His parents entrust him to Lea, a young aunt who is also a doctor. Gradually and subtly, Alvise manages to separate Lea from her boyfriend Stefano and make her fall for him. He draws her into a series of disturbing games which manage to make her forget the world outside and her profession, but never quite completing the insane affair. And so, when Alvise invites her to play the latest game, euthanasia, Lea accepts and administers the poison.
