Synopsis: Who and what hides behind the killer’s mask? A quiet seaside town. An enigmatic killer leaves his signature: his victims’ hands arranged in sign of prayer holding rosary beads. The case is assigned to serial killer specialist inspector Roberto Parisi, a man with a shadowy past. He meets Angela Garelli, a young policewoman who became a drug addict following a tragic error: she shot the man she was to marry, a fellow policeman working under cover. When Roberto understands that all of the serial killer’s victims are somehow connected to the Santa Teresa centre - a rehabilitation centre headed by Sister Serafina - he ensures that Angela becomes a guest there. Now, with the former policewoman’s help, Inspector Parisi must seek to discover who hides behind the murderer’s impenetrable mask and his investigation will uncover the quiet little town’s shameful secrets.
